Tutu cake is a traditional delicacy for Singaporean. It is a very simple dish where it is made of flour and peanuts or coconut. It is best to have it while it is freshly hot as it will taste abit “hard” when it has been cooled down.
There was a long queue at Westgate buying tutu cake at Chinatown Tan’s Tutu Coconut Cake. Hence I join the queue. I bought 5 tutu cakes (2 peanuts, 2 coconuts and 1 plain) for S$3.10.
On the board indicate that per piece costs S$0.70 and 5 for S$3.00 but that is for the tutu cake filled with peanut and/or coconut. If you want to add a plain tutu cake into the 5, they charge S$0.10 more.
I saw an article on Chinatown Tan’s Tutu Coconut Cake – Good Old Times.
