The noodles soaked up every bit of the delicious gravy, while the fresh cockles added a subtle briny sweetness that complemented the soup beautifully.
Next, I tried the Seafood Aglio Olio, which proved that simplicity can be incredibly satisfying when done well. The pasta was tossed evenly with fragrant garlic and olive oil, allowing the natural flavours to shine through. The seafood was cooked perfectly, especially the squid remained tender with just the right amount of chew without becoming rubbery. Every mouthful delivered a pleasant balance of garlic, seafood, and pasta.

The thick beef patty was juicy, flavourful, and cooked just right, while the soft toasted bun held everything together without becoming soggy. Every bite was packed with savoury goodness, and the combination of the juicy burger and crispy fries made for an incredibly satisfying meal.
Another dish was the Chicken Chop, a timeless Western favourite that JKT Western executed very well. The chicken was well-marinated, nicely seasoned, and cooked until tender and juicy. It was served alongside smooth whipped potato and an impressively generous serving of creamy coleslaw. I particularly enjoyed the fresh and crunchy coleslaw, which added a refreshing contrast to the rich flavours of the chicken. The generous portion made the meal feel balanced and complete.
What impressed me most about JKT Western was the variety available. It is refreshing to find a halal restaurant where I can enjoy both Western classics and comforting local favourites without going different places. Whether you are craving laksa, pasta, burgers, chicken rice, or wanton noodles, there is something on the menu to satisfy every diner.
