Calling all Thai food lovers! If you’re always on the lookout for authentic Thai cuisine in Singapore, Nana Original Thai Food is a hidden gem that deserves a spot on your food list.
From the moment I stepped into Nana Original Thai Food, I felt like I had been transported straight to Thailand. The atmosphere is warm, decoration, and welcoming, creating a dining experience that goes beyond just the food.

Main Highlight at NANA Original Thai Food
One of my absolute must-orders at Nana Original Thai Food is their Tom Yum Soup. This iconic Thai dish can make or break a Thai restaurant, and Nana definitely gets it right. A small flame was placed beneath the pot to keep the soup warm throughout the meal. This ensured that every bowl remained piping hot, allowing us to fully enjoy the rich, aromatic broth from start to finish.
The soup is rich, flavourful, and packed with layers of taste. The balance between spicy, sour, and savoury flavours is spot on, creating that signature Tom Yum kick that Thai food lovers crave. The ingredients are fresh, and the broth has a wonderful complexity that shows the care put into its preparation.

Another standout dish that I highly recommend is the Mango Sticky Rice. Many places serve this popular Thai dessert, but finding one that truly captures the authentic taste can be surprisingly difficult.
The mango is sweet, juicy, and perfectly ripe, while the sticky rice is soft, fragrant, and coated with a rich coconut sauce. The combination of textures and flavours creates a simple yet incredibly satisfying dessert. It was the perfect way to end the meal and brought back memories of enjoying mango sticky rice during trips to Thailand.

The Thai Prawn Cake was another highlight of the meal. The texture was wonderfully bouncy and springy.

My Other Order List at NANA Original Thai Food
Moo Ping is marinated grilled pork skewers. The grilled pork was tender and juicy. It was marinated in a sweet, honey-based seasoning that gave the meat plenty of flavour. While I enjoyed how tender the pork was, I personally found it a little too sweet for my liking. Those who enjoy sweeter grilled meats may appreciate it more, but I would have preferred a better balance between the sweet and savoury flavours.

What I particularly appreciate about Nana Original Thai Food is that it doesn’t try to dilute its flavours to cater to local tastes. The dishes maintain the bold and authentic characteristics that make Thai cuisine so beloved around the world. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite.
The Ocean Garden was a delightful vegetable dish that brought together a variety of fresh ingredients in a rich and flavourful sauce. The sauce was especially delicious and complemented the vegetables perfectly. This is definitely a dish best enjoyed with a bowl of steamed rice, as the flavours pair wonderfully together and make for a very satisfying meal.
While the prices are slightly higher compared to some casual Thai eateries in Singapore, I genuinely feel that the quality justifies the cost. You’re not only paying for the food but also for the overall experience, the authentic flavours, quality ingredients, and welcoming service. In a city where truly authentic Thai food can sometimes be difficult to find, Nana Original Thai Food offers something special that is worth spending a little extra for.
