Looking for delicious halal Chinese food in Kuala Lumpur, LeTen Dim Sum KL is definitely a place worth discovering. This Chinese halal dim sum restaurant offers a wide variety of dim sum, noodles, soups and desserts, making it a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal with family and friends. With so many choices on the menu, we decided to order a selection of dishes to share and try.

We started with some of their dim sum favourites at LeTen Dim Sum. The Siew Mai topped with ebiko was nicely steamed, and the siew mai was made with chicken meat. The ebiko added a pleasant burst of texture and flavour, making each bite even more enjoyable.

We also had the Steamed Chicken Xiao Long Bao, which was tender and juicy with a delicate skin. It was interesting to try a chicken version of this classic dim sum.

The inside of the Steamed Chicken Xiao Long Bao was so juicy and soupy, filled with a delicious broth and the chicken’s natural sweetness. Each bite was tender, flavourful and satisfying.

Next was the Steamed Rice Roll with Fresh Prawns. The rice roll was soft and smooth, while the fresh prawns inside gave it a nice bite.

We also ordered the Wok-Fried Carrot Cake, which had a good combination of a soft centre and slightly crispy edges.

Must-Try Dishes at LeTen Dim Sum
But the real star of the meal for me was the Signature Crispy Truffle Chicken. This is definitely a must-try dish that I highly recommend. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet incredibly tender inside, making every bite so satisfying. What impressed me most was the truffle sauce. The truffle flavour was delicious without being too strong or overpowering. It tasted just right and complemented the chicken so well. The tender meat absorbed the truffle sauce beautifully, making every bite rich and flavourful. For me, this is a must-try dish at LeTen Dim Sum!

The other must-try dish at LeTen Dim Sum is the Wok Hei Hor Fun with Chicken. It had been a long time since I last enjoyed fried hor fun with such a noticeable wok hei flavour, so I was really happy to have this again. The smoky aroma from the wok added another layer of flavour to the dish. I would recommend eating it while it is still warm, as the wok hei and texture are best enjoyed fresh from the kitchen.

For something warm and comforting, we ordered two soups, the Hot and Spicy Seafood Soup and the Tofu Soup with Dried Scallop. The hot and spicy seafood soup had a nice spicy kick.

The tofu soup was light and soothing, with the dried scallop adding a subtle depth of flavour. Both were a great complement to the dim sum and other dishes.

To accompany the meal, we had a pot of Tie Guan Yin Chinese tea. The tea was refreshing and a good choice to balance all the different flavours from the meal.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert at LeTen Dim Sum. We ended with the Mango Puree with Sago and Pomelo, which was refreshing and fruity. The mango puree had a sweet and rich mango taste, while the small slices of fresh mango added extra sweetness and a nice bite.

We also tried the Double-Boiled Peach Resin, a light and comforting dessert to finish the meal. It has a taste that is somewhat similar to Cheng Teng, with a mild sweetness and a refreshing, soothing flavour.

Final Thoughts
Overall, LeTen Dim Sum KL offers a wonderful selection of halal Chinese dishes, from traditional dim sum to creative mains and refreshing desserts. While everything we ordered had something to enjoy, the Signature Crispy Truffle Chicken and Wok Hei Hor Fun with Chicken were definitely my personal favourite.
