Staying at Sunway Resort Hotel gave me the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, one of the dining options within the hotel. Since I had heard of the renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, I was excited to experience the breakfast menu and see how his signature approach was reflected in the dishes.

Unlike a typical hotel buffet breakfast where you can freely choose from a wide selection of dishes, the breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill follows a set menu concept. For adults, the breakfast package includes one drink from a selection of coffee, tea or fruit juice, one choice from the Classics and Pastries section, and one choice from the Eggs section, except for the boxed-up item. If you wish to order anything outside the included selections, an additional charge will apply.
For children, the selection is slightly different. Kids are entitled to one drink from the coffee, tea or fruit juice options and one choice from the Eggs section. This makes the breakfast menu relatively straightforward, although there are still several choices available.

For the drink, I chose the cappuccino. It was a pleasant way to start the morning, with a smooth coffee flavour and creamy texture at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill.

Classics and Pastries at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill
For the Classics and Pastries at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, we ordered the pancakes and toasted bread.
The pancakes were a nice choice for those who prefer something slightly sweet for breakfast. They were soft and comforting, making them suitable for both adults and children.

The toasted bread, meanwhile, was a simple but enjoyable option that paired well with the other breakfast dishes.

They also provided two different flavours of jam, along with butter, to accompany the toasted bread. The variety of spreads added a little extra flavour and made the simple toast more enjoyable, allowing us to choose whichever combination we preferred.

Highlights at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill
The highlight for us was definitely the Eggs section, where we decided to try several different choices so that we could experience more of the menu.
First up was the Eggs & Soldiers, a classic breakfast combination featuring soft-boiled eggs served with toast strips for dipping. It is a simple dish, but there is something satisfying about dipping the toasted soldiers into the runny egg yolk.

We also ordered the Eggs Benedict, another familiar breakfast favourite. The combination of poached eggs and its accompanying ingredients made this a more indulgent choice compared with the Eggs & Soldiers.

We’ve also tried the Crushed Avocado, which was a fresh and slightly healthier option for breakfast. The creamy avocado was topped with two perfectly poached eggs, adding a rich and satisfying element to the dish.

The combination of smooth avocado and runny egg yolks made it a simple yet enjoyable choice.

Of course, we could not miss the English Breakfast, which featured the classic components you would expect from a traditional English-style breakfast. It was a hearty and satisfying choice.

Final Thoughts
Overall, having breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill was a pleasant experience and a nice change from the usual hotel breakfast buffet. I enjoyed being able to sample different dishes from the menu, especially the Eggs & Soldiers, Eggs Benedict, Crushed Avocado and English Breakfast. Staying at Sunway Resort Hotel also made it especially convenient to enjoy a meal at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill without having to travel elsewhere to experience the menu by Chef Gordon Ramsay.
