Craving a hearty steak feast with family and friends? Steak 99 is a place that should be on your list. Serving sizzling, juicy steaks that are fully halal, it is the perfect dining spot where everyone can enjoy a satisfying meal together. Before diving into the main course at Steak 99, I decided to try the Truffle Onsen. The truffle flavour was bold and intense, making it a delight for truffle lovers. The silky onsen egg complemented the dish perfectly, adding a creamy texture that blended beautifully with the truffle notes. If you are a fan of truffle, this is definitely a must-try item on the menu.
The baked potato was wonderfully soft and packed with butter, creating a rich and creamy taste that made every bite truly satisfying. If possible, I would have loved a little more butter to make it even better.
Steak 99 not only serves steaks, but also offers other dishes such as the Aglio Olio Linguine. The pasta was loaded with garlic and topped with crispy fried onions. The garlic gave it a fragrant flavour, while the fried onions added a nice crunch. This simple yet unique combination made the dish stand out from the usual pasta options.
Highlight of Steak 99
Of course, the highlight at Steak 99 is the sizzling steak. It is served on a hot plate and arrives still sizzling at your table. The steak was juicy, tender and full of flavour.
What I like is that I can continue cooking the steak on the hot plate as I prefer it more well done. This allows me to enjoy the steak exactly the way I like it.
The steak set comes with FREE-flow rice, cabbage salad and soup, making it a complete and filling meal. The warm soup was comforting, while the cabbage salad helped balance the richness of the steak. The free-flow sides also make the meal feel great value for money.
To go with the steak, there are three different sauces for dipping. My favourites were the Spicy Sauce and the Original Sauce. I kept switching between the two throughout the meal as both paired very well with the steak. The spicy sauce added a nice kick, while the original sauce brought out the natural flavour of the meat.
Everyone has their own preference when it comes to steak sauces. For me, I enjoyed alternating between the Spicy Sauce and the Original Sauce. What about you? Which sauce is your favourite to go with a juicy steak?
To complete the meal, I ordered a Lychee Mint Tea. It was refreshing and perfect for cooling down after enjoying the rich and savoury dishes. The combination of lychee and mint made it a great thirst quencher. The lychees here are big, making every mouthful extra sweet and refreshing.
Overall, Steak 99 offers a satisfying halal steak experience with juicy steaks, free-flow sides and delicious sauces. It is a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with family and friends. If you are a JFH
