Ajisen Ramen Brings Back My Memories
Ajisen Ramen has always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, a visit to Ajisen Ramen was not an everyday affair. It was usually reserved for special occasions such as birthdays, family celebrations, or moments when we wanted to enjoy something a little more special together.

Back then, stepping into Ajisen Ramen felt exciting. The warm and cosy atmosphere, the aroma of the broth filling the air, and the anticipation of that first bowl of ramen made every visit memorable. I still remember how much I looked forward to their rich tonkotsu broth paired with springy ramen noodles. It was simple comfort food, but to me, it felt like a luxurious treat.
More importantly, those meals were about spending quality time with family. Sitting around the table, sharing food and laughter, created memories that have stayed with me through the years. Looking back now, Ajisen Ramen brings back a strong sense of nostalgia. It reminds me of those carefree childhood days when happiness could be found in something as simple as enjoying a bowl of ramen with loved ones.
Today Ajisen Ramen has become much more accessible and is now a place people can enjoy anytime. While the feeling of visiting may be different from my childhood days, the comforting flavours remain familiar and satisfying.
One thing that impressed me during my recent visit was the Kid’s Meal. The portion size of the kid’s ramen was surprisingly generous. In fact, the ramen portion was almost the same size as a regular adult bowl, making it excellent value for money.

For parents with younger children who are small eaters, one bowl can easily be shared between two kids. On the other hand, if your child has a bigger appetite, the Kid’s Meal portion is just right. It is refreshing to see a restaurant offering such a substantial serving instead of the tiny portions that are often found in children’s meals elsewhere.

As a seafood lover, I usually find myself ordering the seafood ramen whenever I visit. There is something comforting about enjoying a bowl filled with seafood ingredients together with Ajisen’s signature broth. The combination creates a hearty and satisfying meal that never disappoints.

I usually upgrade to a set meal, and my go-to side is the whitebait which is crispy, flavourful, and the perfect little companion to a bowl of seafood ramen.

Of course, there are also days when I crave something with a little more kick. Whenever those spicy craving strikes, I will go for one of their spicy ramen options. The spicy broth adds an extra layer of flavour and warmth, making it especially enjoyable on rainy days or whenever I want something more exciting than my usual order.

What I appreciate most about Ajisen Ramen is how it continues to cater to different tastes and occasions. Whether you are dining with family, catching up with friends, enjoying a casual meal after work, or simply satisfying a ramen craving, there is usually something on the menu that fits the mood.
Although many new ramen restaurants have entered the market over the years, Ajisen Ramen remains a familiar favourite for me. It is not just about the food. It is about the memories. Sometimes, all it takes is a bowl of ramen to bring back memories of simpler times. For me, Ajisen Ramen does exactly that. It is a place that connects my childhood memories with the present, and that is what makes every bowl feel special.
