My Favourite Orders at Hanis
Hor Fun
Ask any regular at Hanis what to order, and chances are they’ll recommend the hor fun without hesitation. And honestly, they’re not wrong.
What makes Hanis stand out is their generosity with the gravy. Unlike some places that barely give you enough sauce, Hanis serves it rich, thick, and packed with flavour. It’s the kind of gravy that coats every strand of hor fun perfectly and leaves you wanting more. In fact, my girl never leaves a single drop behind.

If flat rice noodles aren’t your thing, they also offer a beehoon version topped with the same delicious gravy. Personally, I prefer their hor fun over the beehoon.

Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio
The Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio is an absolute must-try. The turkey bacon is cooked to a lovely contrast of crispy edges and a tender, yielding centre that adds a gentle saltiness to the spaghetti. Tossed together with fragrant garlic and colourful bell peppers, the sweetness from the peppers balances everything beautifully.

Fried Egg with Turkey Bacon (All time breakfast)
One of the most charming things about Hanis is that they serve their breakfast sets all day long. Come at lunchtime, dinnertime, or even late in the evening, the breakfast menu is there waiting for you. Their toast is genuinely good: golden, buttery, and satisfying in the way only a proper breakfast toast can be. For those days when your body says “breakfast”, but the clock says otherwise, Hanis has your back.

Soup of the Day
Another reason to keep coming back is the rotating soup of the day. Hanis regularly switches things up. Mushroom soup has long been my favourite.

But their newer tomato soup has quickly won hearts too. I’ll admit, I expected it to be quite tangy, but it surprised me with a gentle sweetness and a texture that was just right, not too thick, not too watery.

I always upgrade my meal to the soup set by adding $4.50, which gets you the soup of the day, garlic bread, and a drink. With Singapore’s heat being what it is, I almost always go for their ice lemon tea and it’s the real deal, brewed tea with fresh lemon (not that syrup-heavy stuff some places pass off as lemon tea).

Desserts to End on a High Note
No meal is complete without something sweet, and Hanis delivers here too. Look at the layers of vibrant colour of the rainbow cake that brighten up the table before you’ve even taken a bite.

For the chocolate devotees, you’re spoilt for choice between the Gateux and the rich Chocolate Truffle cake. Each has its own personality: one more refined, the other unabashedly indulgent.

Hanis is the kind of place that feels like it was made for everyone. The noodle lover, the pasta fan, the all-day breakfast devotee, the soup sipper, and the dessert enthusiast. It’s halal, it’s generous, and it’s consistent.
