Teahouse by Soup Restaurant is a casual hybrid dining concept inspired by the lively Chinatown teahouse culture from the 1950s to 1970s. Unlike the usual family-style dining experience that Soup Restaurant is known for, this concept focuses more on handmade dim sum, classic Nanyang teahouse snacks, and comforting heritage dishes.
The menu at Teahouse by Soup Restaurant features a mix of traditional favourites and signature dishes from the Soup Restaurant brand. You can find handmade dim sum items such as siew mai, har gow, steamed buns, and other teahouse classics alongside comforting soups and chicken dishes that many Singaporeans are familiar with.
Spotlight of Teahouse by Soup Restuarant
Without fail, the star of Teahouse by Soup Restaurant is the Signature Samsui Ginger Chicken. This dish alone is worth the visit. The chicken is tender, juicy, and may look simple at first glance, but the true highlight is the legendary ginger sauce. Smooth, fragrant, and packed with bold flavour, the ginger paste elevates the dish to another level and creates that addictive combination that keeps diners coming back for more. Wrapping the chicken in fresh lettuce and cucumber adds a refreshing crunch, perfectly balancing the spicy and aromatic ginger sauce. It is one of those timeless dishes that never disappoints no matter how many times you order it.

Reminds Me of Grandma’s Cooking
Another standout dish from Teahouse by Soup Restaurant during the meal was the Steamed Hand-Chopped Minced Pork with Salted Fish. This dish immediately reminded me of the comforting home-cooked meals prepared by my grandma during childhood. The minced pork was soft, juicy, and packed with flavour, while the salted fish added just the right amount of savoury richness without overpowering the dish. It had that nostalgic “grandmother’s cooking” feeling that is difficult to find nowadays in modern restaurants.

More Than Just Greens
We also ordered the Poached Baby Spinach with Conpoy in Century & Salted Eggs Stock from Teahouse by Soup Restaurant. The rich century egg and salted egg broth coated the spinach nicely, giving it a creamy and savoury taste that went really well with the fresh vegetables. The conpoy added a natural sweetness and more flavour to the dish, making it comforting without feeling too heavy. Even for someone who usually orders vegetables just to balance the meal, this dish turned out to be one of the highlights of dinner.

We also ordered the Yuzu Tea, which was perfect for a refreshing finish after the meal. The light citrus flavour was refreshing and helped balance out the rich and savoury dishes we had earlier.

Teahouse by Soup Restaurant also offer dim sum favourites such as char siew sou (叉烧酥)and egg tarts, perfect for pairing with a pot of tea or as a light snack during the day.

If you enjoy the signature ginger sauce, Teahouse by Soup Restaurant also sell it in bottles so you can recreate the experience at home. Simply steam your own chicken and pair it with the ginger sauce for that familiar Samsui Chicken flavour anytime. They also offer a variety of other sauces for purchase, perfect for bringing a taste of the restaurant back to your own kitchen.
