5:59+ Cafe & Bistro

First opened in Chengdu, China in 2019, 5:59+ Cafe & Bistro quickly became a social media phenomenon before expanding to five outlets across China. Singapore marks its very first international outpost, and it could not have chosen a better home than the heart of Orchard Road.

But what’s with the name? The “5:59+” concept captures that magical minute just before 6pm and the transition between one chapter and the next, mirroring the cafe’s all-day dining identity where every hour is worth savouring.

Watch those drinks come alive with the cutest panda marshmallows and creamy layers. Sichuan Meets Western at 5:59+ Cafe & Bistro

Beyond the cuteness, 5:59+ Cafe & Bistro is where the real magic happens and Sichuan-inspired Western dishes that hit both spicy and comforting at the same time.

Start your meal with the Mushroom Risotto, a dish that immediately delivers rich and comforting flavours from the very first spoonful. The risotto is very creamy thanks to the generous use of heavy cream and butter, giving it a silky texture that coats every grain of rice beautifully. The mushroom flavour comes through nicely without overpowering the dish, while the final sprinkle of cheese powder adds an extra savoury depth that ties everything together perfectly. It’s the kind of dish that feels indulgent, warm, and comforting, especially if you enjoy creamy, cheesy flavours.

Then move on to the Sticky Slow-Cooked Pork Ribs (烤低温慢煮猪肋排), which easily steal the spotlight. The sticky glaze coating the ribs is packed with flavour, balancing sweetness, smokiness, and a subtle savoury richness that keeps you coming back for more. What makes the dish even more enjoyable is how juicy the meat remains despite the caramelised exterior. Every bite is messy in the best possible way, with the sauce clinging beautifully to the ribs while delivering a deep, satisfying flavour profile.
