Wahhh… it’s been so long since I last had Burger King. One bite in and suddenly — boom — all the school day memories came rushing back. 🥺
You know that feeling when certain food just unlocks a whole era of your life? Yeah, this was exactly that.
I went straight for the classic — the Double Mushroom Swiss 🍔. And OMG… the moment I opened it, that melted cheese was already oozing out everywhere. 🤤 It’s messy in the best way possible.
The rich, creamy cheese paired with those juicy mushrooms… honestly, if you’re a cheese lover or mushroom lover, this one just hits different.
And then the Whopper… I did a special order, so it actually came out looking a little smaller than usual 😅
But don’t be fooled — it still delivers. That flame-grilled beef patty, fresh veggies, and signature smoky flavour are all still there. It’s the kind of burger that just never goes out of style.
Their fries have definitely improved compared to what I remember from my school days — they’re now more flavourful and noticeably crispier.
Of course, cannot forget the sides — the real throwback stars. The Taro Turnover 🫔, crispy on the outside, and when I bite in, that warm, soft, slightly “watery” taro filling just flows out… OMG damn shiok 🤯 It’s sweet, nostalgic, and exactly how I remember it.
There’s the peanut cake, which leans a little on the dry side, so it’s best enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee to balance it out perfectly.
Seriously, this combo just screams school days. Sitting with friends after class, unwrapping your burger, and saving the taro turnover for last like it’s a reward. 🥹
