During my recent visit to Yokohama Ramen Stall, I found a place where I can enjoy comforting bowl of ramen in a relaxing environment. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and cosy interior. The restaurant has a simple yet welcoming Japanese-inspired decoration.

Orders From Yokohama Ramen
The broth is unlike some ramen broths that can be overly rich and heavy, Yokohama Ramen Stall’s version was much lighter, yet still full of flavour. It had a clean savoury taste that felt comforting and satisfying without being too overwhelming. The noodles were cooked just right, with a nice texture that paired well with the broth.

Another pleasant surprise was the complimentary free-flow hard-boiled eggs.

Dishes Ordered at Yokohama Ramen
Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen Set (Gyoza)
During my visit, we ordered several items to try a variety of flavours. We started with the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen Set, which came with a serving of crispy gyoza and a refreshing Qoo White Grape soft drink. The set was satisfying and offered great value with additional $4, making it a good choice if you’re looking for a complete meal.

The gyoza had a crispy skin, and when I took a bite, the juicy and flavourful meat filling was packed with flavour. It was delicious and complemented the ramen perfectly.

Tonkotsu Ramen Set (Takoyaki)
We also ordered another Tonkotsu Ramen Set, but this time we upgraded it with Takoyaki and another Qoo White Grape soft drink.

The Takoyaki was soft on the inside while the savoury sauce and bonito flakes made it even more enjoyable.

The Takoyaki was filled with a generous piece of tender octopus, unlike some Takoyaki that are mostly filled with batter.

The Tonkotsu Ramen lets you enjoy the original pork bone broth, while the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen adds an extra layer of shoyu flavour, making the broth richer and more savoury. Both are delicious, so it depends on whether you prefer the original taste or a stronger soy sauce flavour.
Spicy Miso Ramen Set (Kabocha Croquette)
To experience something with a little more kick, we also ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen as a set with a Kabocha Croquette and an Oolong Tea. The spicy miso broth had a pleasant level of heat without being overpowering, making it enjoyable even if you don’t usually go for very spicy ramen.

The kabocha croquette had a crispy golden coating with a soft and naturally sweet pumpkin filling. While the flavour was enjoyable, I found it a little dry on its own, so it paired much better with a drink. If you’re ordering it as a side, having a beverage alongside it will definitely make it more enjoyable.

Besides the ramen, I also ordered a plate of Fried Oyster, together with Hot Green Tea at Yokohama Ramen. The Fried Oyster had a beautifully crispy golden coating, while the oysters inside remained plump and juicy.

Every bite had a wonderful contrast between the crunchy exterior and the succulent oyster inside.

Yokohama Ramen serves its hot green tea in a small pot rather than a cup.

Another reason I think Yokohama Ramen Stall stands out is that it is pet-friendly. It’s always great to find restaurants that welcome furry companions, making it easier for pet owners to enjoy a meal without leaving their pets behind. If you’re planning a casual outing with your four-legged friend, this is definitely a place worth considering.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Yokohama Ramen Stall. From the light yet flavourful ramen broth and complimentary free-flow hard-boiled eggs to the crispy fried oysters and tasty side dishes, every item we ordered was enjoyable. Combined with its cosy atmosphere and pet-friendly setting, it’s a Japanese restaurant that I would happily visit again whenever I’m craving a comforting bowl of ramen.
