If you love laksa, you may have heard of King of Laksa, also known as the Kotthika’s Fusion Laksa. This popular laksa stall is known for its lighter, healthier take on traditional laksa. King of Laksa has also recently made it into the Michelin Guide Singapore 2026, adding another reason for laksa lovers to put this stall on their must-try list.
King of Laska has been attracting a very long queue, and after trying it for myself, I can understand why so many people are willing to wait.

A Healthier Take on Laksa
What caught my attention about King of Laksa is that it takes a different approach to this traditionally rich and indulgent dish.
Their laksa is made without MSG, with no added salt and no added sugar. Another noticeable difference is that there is no oily layer floating on top of the broth.
The broth at King of Laksa is also smooth, creamy and flavourful, giving the laksa a satisfying richness without being overly heavy. It is also positioned as a low-carb laksa, making it an interesting option for those who are looking for a lighter version of their favourite local dish.

For me, this makes the laksa feel much lighter and less greasy. You can enjoy a comforting bowl of laksa without feeling quite as guilty afterwards!
King of Laksa Simple Laksa Selection
The menu at King of Laksa is refreshingly simple. Rather than having an overwhelming number of choices, they focus on their signature laksa and a few variations.
You can choose from:
- Laksa
- Laksa Cockles
- Laksa Prawns
- Pampering Myself – a combination of prawns and cockles

I decided to pamper myself and ordered the Pampering Myself, which comes with both prawns and cockles. I also ordered the Laksa Prawns.

The combination of seafood with the smooth laksa broth made each bowl satisfying and hearty. If you are a seafood lover, I would definitely recommend going for the prawns and cockles option. The prawns were sweet and crunchy, while the cockles tasted fresh and complemented the rich, creamy broth perfectly. True to its promise, there was no oily layer floating on top of the laksa, making the bowl feel lighter and less greasy.

Another plus point is that King of Laksa accepts CDC vouchers, so you can use them when satisfying your laksa cravings.
Every Bowl Is Carefully Prepared
From cooking to decorating and arranging the ingredients, you can see that the staff at King of Laksa take pride in preparing every bowl. Before serving, they first warm the bowl with hot water, helping to keep the laksa hot for longer so you can enjoy every spoonful while it is piping hot.
They don’t simply scoop the laksa into a warm bowl and serve it. Instead, they pay close attention to the presentation and finishing touches, carefully arranging the ingredients to make each bowl look as appetising as it tastes. This extra effort shows the care and attention that goes into every bowl of laksa.
And when you finally get your bowl, the appearance makes you even more eager to dig in!
The Giant Nezha Catches Your Eye
You will definitely not miss the stall when you are at the food court.
There is a huge Nezha statue holding a bowl of laksa, making the stall extremely prominent and easy to spot. It is quite an eye-catching sight and gives the stall a distinctive identity.

With the long queue, the giant Nezha and the aroma of laksa, it is hard not to notice King of Laksa!
The stall is located inside a hidden food court and is open from 11:30am to 8:00pm. Do note that they are closed on Mondays.
Is King of Laksa Worth the Queue?
For me, yes. If you enjoy laksa but prefer something healthier, smoother and less oily, King of Laksa is certainly worth checking out.
With its no MSG, no added salt, no added sugar and no oily layer, it offers a refreshing take on a beloved Singapore classic. Add in its recent Michelin Guide Singapore 2026 recognition.
If you are planning to visit, be prepared to wait. You can watch the staff carefully prepare and decorate each bowl makes the experience part of the fun.
King of Laksa, indeed!
